Greetings to you all from day whatever of the COVID-19 quarantine.  I hope everyone is being safe, happy and kind to one another.  What have you been doing?  So far, I've completed my continuing education requirements, started the ePro class from NAR, picked up my guitar and am reading Who Moved My Cheese.  As for Maui County, the mayor will most likely extend the stay at home order till the end of May.  He'll let us know later today.  There is still a 14 day mandatory quarantine ... read more

Hello World,COVID has definitely affected real estate here in South Maui but not as strongly as you might think.  New listings range in price between $318,000 and $9,800,000.  Many of the new listings are coming to market at pre-COVID pricing but a few are priced well and are under contract. 9 properties to be exact.  Of the 31 properties sold, one property was listed and closed in the past 30 days.  28 properties cancelled and 6 expired.  Based on the numbers, people still want to buy... read more

Thanks to my long-time friend, Jason La Rosa, who is an RN, for posting this!  If you should get the virus: I know we’re all tired of hearing/talking about it, but one thing I HAVEN’T really seen going around is advice for what happens if you DO get coronavirus (many of us will), we're only seeing advice for how to try to AVOID it. Advice From RN Update

A few days ago, I posted advice from a registered nurse.  Because COVID-19 is a moving target, some doctors have suggested that taking ibuprofen may actually cause more problems.  From what I've read it depends on whether or not a patient has pre-existing conditions.  PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR before taking any medicine.  It never hurts to ask.  Please make sure you stay home if you are sick, keep hydrated, practice social distancing and be kind to one another.Click Here: Ibuprofen & C... read more

Traveling in the Islands

It's June 15th and travel requirements within the state have changed along with trans-Pacific travel.  If you are in the state of Hawaii and you wish to travel interisland, you will no longer have to provide proof of a pre-travel test, or vaccination.  This only applies to travel within the state of Hawaii.  If you are coming from the mainland, if you have been vaccinated in the state of Hawaii with at least one dose, you do not have to quarantine.  Key wording there is: vaccinated in the state ... read more
